Nasal Tip Plasty

Nasal tip plasty is a surgical procedure which is aimed at getting a better-looking nasal tip. The nasal tip specifically means treating the tip of the nose and not another part of the nose. The nasal tip is the focal point to your face, that is why it is important to achieve an overall balance and symmetry to the facial proportions.
Ideal nasal tip characteristics:
  • A bulbous, bulky or broad nasal tip that looks heavy compared to the rest of the face
  • A pointy tip
  • A droopy or rotated downwards tip
  • A tip that lacks definition or that is too short
  • A nose tip that turns upwards which would make the nostrils visible from a front view
Nasal tip plasty is a simple procedure but with all surgical procedures, there are risks involved. The surgery is aimed at the nose tip and does not treat any other part of the nose as stated above. All benefits and risks will be discussed with you by your surgeon in your consultation appointment prior to your surgery date. The procedure is generally performed under local anesthetic or sedation. Patients usually go home on the same day after surgery. Expect improvement and not perfection.
After the surgery, it is important for the patient to have plenty of head rest by keeping their head in an elevated position as much as possible to reduce the swelling and any bleeding. Your nose may be congested due to the swelling. Any swelling will reduce as the months pass. After the procedure, the nose tip will be in proportion in width and size. Smoking or drinking is not recommended until at least 4 weeks after the surgery. This will make your recovery a lot quicker and help you to get the best result. The outcome of the surgery will bring more definition to your face and a more sophisticated look. With every surgical procedure, there are risks, the surgeon will go through all the risks in detail prior to the operation. We are fully committed to ensuring you get the best possible results.
